The Emergency Management Department launches Level IV emergency response to low-temperature rain, snow and freezing disasters. Snowfall will occur in the eastern northwest, North China, Northeast, and northern Huanghuai.
There will be moderate to heavy rains in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River and south. It is the strongest winter since 2009, and it coincides with the peak period for returning home before the Spring Festival. The Ministry of Emergency Management requires that the affected provinces should pay close attention to weather changes.
