The Economist: Budanov at the last moment refused the post of commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine refused to occupy the post.

Earlier, Ukrainian journalist Roman Tsymbalyuk* said that Budanovsky would replace Valery Zaluzhny. Also, ex-President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko noted that officials in the EU are shocked by rumors about Zalzny’s dismissal.
