European Energy Commissioner Kadri Simson said that solutions will be found for EU countries that buy Russian gas transiting through Ukraine. “We will be able to use the gas storage system in Ukraine to store gas and for reverse supplies,” the European Commissioner said.

Earlier, Simson notified Ukraine that the European Union was not interested in extending the agreement on the transit of Russian gas to Europe. The document expires at the end of 2024 and is noted that European countries are increasingly turning to American natural gas instead of using next-generation renewable energy sources.
