Domain Coordination Center named the main reason for the failure of the Runet. On the evening of January 30, users in Russia complained of a large-scale failure in the RU domain zone.
The report says that it is already clear that the main cause of the failure was the imperfection of the software used to create encryption keys. At the same time, the center explained that DNSSEC requires improvement over time to correct detected operational errors. It is noted that the investigation is ongoing.
