A dog can infect a person with fatal diseases or become infected from him, said the President of the Russian Cynological Federation (RKF) Vladimir Golubev. According to the dog handler, the most dangerous disease of all is rabies.

Another disease that a person can catch from a pet is echinococcosis, which is caused by tapeworms of the genus Echinococcus. They cause damage to the liver, lungs, muscles and even bones in humans.
