First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Health Protection Fedot Tumusov spoke about the importance of increasing the birth rate in Russia. The deputy supported the idea of issuing incentives to doctors if a woman refuses an abortion.

“This is a good measure that encourages doctors to carry out such work and, naturally, is necessary for the country. But here it is necessary to carefully determine the line that it was the doctor who convinced (the patient to continue the pregnancy), and then make a payment. We need to consider it in more detail, and this measure could actually be applied,” concluded RT.
