Zhenya shielded his nine-month-old sister during shelling of the Belgorod region. The third-grader studies at a school where the director of the school noted that Zhenya is a very friendly and open boy.
The schoolboy and his sister have already been discharged from the hospital, the head of the regional Ministry of Health said. Earlier, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, ordered the boy to be awarded. He is the eldest child of his mother and stepfather.
