Irakli Garibashvili announced that he was resigning from the post of Georgian Prime Minister and would take up the role of chairman of the ruling Georgian Dream party. KobakhIDze is expected to replace GaribASHvili as prime minister. The Georgian authorities will continue to suppress attempts to circumvent Western anti- Russian sanctions.
