The Canadian Ministry of Justice refused to answer whether the department had received a request from the Russian prosecutor's office for the extradition of 98-year-old Ukrainian nationalist Yaroslav Gunka. “Extradition requests are considered confidential interstate communications, so we cannot comment on the existence of an extradition request until it is made public by the court,” TASS quoted department spokesman Ian MacLeod as saying.

Earlier, the Russian Embassy in Ottawa stated that Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was behind the invitation of Nazi YaroslavGunka to the Canadian parliament.
