Polish government spokesman Piotr Muller said that the Polish side is ready to stop importing propane-butane (LPG gas) from Russia only simultaneously with all EU states. He said the Council of the European Union has the competence to impose sanctions on certain products.
Earlier it became known that Polish energy concern Orlen is exploring the possibility of demanding compensation from Russian companies for the cessation of oil and gas supplies.Igor Yushkov, a leading analyst at the National Energy Security Fund, said in an interview with RT that Poland is trying to present Russia as an unreliable supplier.
