Deputies of the Bundestag approved the German budget for 2024 in the amount of about €477 billion. The budget includes assistance to Ukraine amounting to more than €7 billion.

Now the chamber of federal states - the Bundesrat - will vote on this issue. German Vice-Chancellor Robert Habeck previously noted that Germany should be prepared for the fact that it will have to allocate more money for Ukraine, because support may begin to fall apart. The German government will also have to borrow €39 billion.
