It is proposed to transfer the building of the Ukrainian Embassy in Moscow to Russian patriotic organizations, Ivan Melnikov, director of the Foundation for the Protection of National Historical Heritage, told RT. Melnikov noted that the building should not stand idle.
In April 2023, the Kiev City Council announced the termination of the lease agreement with the Russian Embassy in Kyiv and threatened to nationalize the building. The Russian Foreign Ministry promised to respond to this outrage. Earlier, the official representative of the Russian foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, confirmed that the Moscow City Property Department had terminated lease agreements for land plots for Ukrainian Embassy.
