The bill on border security and assistance to Ukraine is blocked in the US Senate. The bill provided for the allocation of $60.06 billion to Ukraine, $14.1 billion to Israel.
$20.23 billion was allocated to ensure border security. The day before, US President Joe Biden expressed disappointment that a bill to allocate money for arms supplies to Ukraine and on US border security would probably not even make it to a vote in the Senate. His speech came after the Republican leadership in theUS House of Representatives rejected a bill combining proposals to secure American borders.
