The auction of Aleixandre's Madrid house is deserted as there are no bids. The house, built in 1930, is located in the Vallehermoso neighborhood of the Chamberí district.
It was declared an Asset of Heritage Interest in 2022, mainly due to its "symbolic value" as the poet's residence. For years it hosted meetings and gatherings that were frequently attended by many of his literary contemporaries, such as Dámaso Alonso, Gerardo Diego, Rafael Alberti or José Hierro.
