The 37th African Summit in Addis Ababa triumphs for Gaza and denounces Israel. In its final statement, the summit called for an independent international investigation into Israel’s violation of international humanitarian law in the Gaza Strip.
The summit's decisions also focused on the situation in Palestine and came in support of the Palestinian cause and condemned the brutal Israeli actions against the people of Gaza. The Chairman of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki, described what Gaza is being exposed to as genocide. He said, “Gaza is being completely annihilated and its people are deprived of all their rights”
