Tesla boss Elon Musk meets with Chinese Minister of Foreign Affairs Qin Gang. China committed to "creating a more market-oriented, rule of law-based and internationalized economic environment" for foreign enterprises.
Musk is making his first trip to China since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic.Tesla announced in April that it would build a new battery factory in Shanghai. The plant will have an initial capacity of 10,000 Megapack batteries per year and is expected to start production "in the second quarter of 2024"
