Andrey Rublev, world N.6, and the Italian Jannik Sinner, N.8 world, were stopped in the eighth-finals of the Masters 1000 of Rome on Tuesday. Rublev was stunned 7-6 (7/5), 4-6, 6-3 by the 101st player in the world, Germany's Yannick Hanfmann.

Sinner lost to 31st-ranked Francisco Cerundolo of Argentina 6-7 (3/7), 6-2,6-2.
