TASS: the ambush of the Patriot air defense system against the Il-76 was planned in advance. The Patriot system was placed in the position area and stood with the radar turned off, not detecting itself.
On board were six crew members, 65 military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the exchange and three Russian military personnel accompanying them. The Investigative Committee found out that the anti-aircraft missile weapons from which the attack was carried out were located in Liptsy, Kharkov region.
