Taiwan's influenza-like epidemic is at a "plateau" and is expected to peak after the Spring Festival. In response to medical needs, 156 hospitals will open special outpatient clinics for respiratory infectious diseases.

Currently, there are more than 90,000 doses of publicly funded influenza vaccines left in Taiwan. The agency calls on eligible people to get vaccinated as soon as possible to obtain sufficient protection. The number of influenza-related medical visits in Taiwan reached 123,100 from January 28 to February 3.
