[HIGHLIGHTS] Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council: The DPP authorities should remove artificial obstacles and restrictions that undermine cross-Strait exchanges and cooperation as soon as possible

The Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council held a regular press conference on March 27. Spokesperson Chen Binhua answered reporters' questions on recent cross-strait hot issues.

He said the DPP authorities should face up to the mainstream public opinion on the island that they want peace rather than war, development rather than recession, exchanges rather than separation, and cooperation rather than confrontation. The effective implementation of the individual agreement will bring more benefits and greater development space to compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Strait.
