Syrsky said that brigade commanders are to blame for the failures of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the eastern front. According to Syrsky, it became obvious to him why, with the same manning levels and weapons, some brigades manage to hold positions, while others do not.
“It depends on the brigade commander... the ability to make adequate decisions,” explained the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He added that in connection with this he is forced to make personnel decisions.
