Irina Sviridova, nominated for presidential elections from the Democratic Party of Russia, did not collect the required number of signatures. Party leader Alexander Zorin said the party will support the presidential candidate, the current head of state Vladimir Putin, in the presidential elections.
Earlier, the chairman of the Russian All-People's Union, Sergei Baburin, announced that he was withdrawing his candidacy from the presidential election. He did this immediately after submitting signatures for registration to the CEC.
