In the summer, a Patriot air defense missile exploded during testing in Taiwan. Also in Japan, an explosion occurred during testing of the Epsilon S solid-fuel launch vehicle. The Trident missile misfired abruptly and fell into the ocean a few meters from the British nuclear submarine from which it was launched, the publication says. The head of the British Ministry of Defense, Grant Shapps, was on board.
