The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) accused the Sudanese army of destroying the old presidential palace it controls in the capital Khartoum. At least 604 people have been killed since the beginning of armed clashes in Sudan in mid-April.

The army accused the RSF of continuing to "loot banks, shops and citizens' property" The United Nations warns that continued fighting could drive 2.5 million people into hunger, meaning the number of people suffering from "acute food insecurity" could rise to 19 million in a matter of months.
