Talks between Sudanese army and Rapid Support Forces in Jeddah aim to discuss mechanisms to extend the truce. This comes as clashes continue between the two sides of the fighting and the humanitarian situation worsens.

Saudi Arabia and the United States announced in a statement that they welcome the start of pre-negotiation talks between representatives of the two parties to the fighting in the Saudi city of Jedda. The number of civilian deaths since the beginning of clashes has risen to 479 and 2518, the preliminary committee of the Sudan Medical Syndicate said.
