Street stalls along the Seine River in Paris not removed during the Olympics due to local opposition. Paris police authorities were planning to remove about half of the stalls selling second-hand books and posters during the Paris Olympics.

French President Emmanuel Macron said that local after receiving opposition, we reversed this policy and instructed them not to remove it. Along the Sein River on the Île de la Cité in central Paris, there are over 200 stalls called ''bouquinistes'' that sell rare second- hand books, posters, and postcards.
