British public opinion has turned against the continued export of weapons to Israel. The Sunak government fears that it will be accused of supporting genocide.

A letter signed by more than 600 judges, lawyers, and experts in international law, demanded that Sunak stop exporting weapons. Senior officials at the Ministry of International Trade also sent a letter to their government officials, announcing that they may refuse to approve any arms deals to Israel until they know the government’s legal advisor’’ opinion on the matter.
