Ukraine, which has been attacked by Russia, has been demanding German Taurus cruise missiles to defend itself for months. Chancellor Olaf Scholz strictly rejects delivery of the Taurus system to Kiev because he fears that Germany could become a participant in the war. However, there is disagreement about this within the traffic light coalition. The Bundestag once again rejected a CDU/CSU application for a Taurus delivery.
