First Deputy Head of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Oleksiy Chepa expressed doubt about the possibility of an Easter truce with Ukraine. Chepa does not know how to negotiate a truce with the Ukrainian authorities in the current conditions.
Earlier, the chairman of the World Union of Old Believers, Leonid Sevastyanov, said that Pope Francis proposed to establish a truce in Ukraine from April 9 to the time of Easter for Catholics and Orthodox. Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that the Kremlin did not hear directly from the Vatican proposals.
