Starting today, successive fronts bring "winter cold", rain and snow, with minimum temperatures up to 10ºC below normal. The Cantabrian coast (Galicia, Asturias, Cantabria and the Basque Country) is today on yellow alert (risk for certain activities) due to maritime storms.
The weather will be marked by an anticyclone that will tend to gain prominence in the peninsula and the Balearic Islands. In the extreme north, cloudy skies with weak rainfall will persist, with the possibility of storms and hail.
