Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares did not comment on Madrid's readiness to transfer Patriot missile defense systems to Kyiv. Albares noted that the kingdom will help Ukraine in eliminating the consequences of the disaster caused by the explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station.
On May 23, Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles announced that the government of the kingdom could not help Ukraine either with the transfer of F-16 fighters or with the training of Ukrainian pilots on these aircraft.
