The three main Spanish agricultural unions announced on Friday that they were continuing their mobilization following a meeting with the Minister of Agriculture. The Spanish farmers' movement will end "as soon as we have concrete measures" on agricultural policy, "at the service" of farmers.

Spain, often referred to as the "vegetable garden of Europe", is the leading European exporter of fruits and vegetables. But the Spanish agricultural sector is nevertheless in difficulty, mainly due to the drought which has been affecting the country for three years.
