SNS child support hearing held in U.S. Senate, CEO Zuckerberg apologizes.
Lawmakers have repeatedly grilled the operating company about its responsibilities. Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, which operates Instagram and other sites, was even forced to apologize. There are cases in which people are harming their mental health by repeatedly viewing extreme posts for too long, or are being tricked into sending sexual images of themselves, and there are even discussions in Congress about tightening regulations. The hearing was also attended by the families of children who are thought to have committed suicide due to their use of SNS.
