The Russian government has extended the simplified technical regulations for the production of cars in the country until February 1, 2024. The deadlines for the presentation of new safety requirements have been agreed with the largest Russian automakers.
Earlier, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia proposed to ban the import of cars from friendly countries under simplified requirements from June 1, 2023. Also, the Far Eastern Customs Administration announced an increase in the imported of used foreign cars through Vladivostok. It is noted that the deadline for the introduction of the new requirements has been agreed.
