Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Moriyama, is being pursued. He may have signed a de facto policy agreement with the former Unification Church.
The Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan plans to further pursue him. Prime Minister Kishida rejected the party's request to replace him, saying he has no relationship with the organization in question. The Liberal Democratic Party is taking into account the opposition parties' requests, and is expected to request an explanation from Chief Cabinet Secretary Hayashi about what happened.
