Shoigu presented the Golden Star medals to the participants of the Northern Military District for courage and heroism. Earlier, Russian Deputy Defense Minister Viktor Goremykin presented state awards to servicemen of the motorized rifle brigades of the 2nd Guards Combined Arms Army of the Central Military District.
It was also reported that Russian units occupied new positions in the Avdeevsky direction. The head of the Ministry of Defense presented the shoulder straps of senior officers to the military of the Russian Armed Forces.
