Shoigu called Western statements about Russia and nuclear weapons nonsense. Earlier, Putin called accusations against Russia about its intentions to allegedly place nuclear weapons in space a hoax and a ruse.
He added that the Russian side is very consistent and clearly says that it has weapons that not only pose a threat to its opponents, it initially says “that it’s better not to mess with us.” The head of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Sergei Shoigu, made the statement following the message of Russian President Vladimir Putin to the Federal Assembly.
