Bassirou Diomaye Faye, 44, will become Senegal's youngest president. His election was preceded by three years of tension and unrest in the country. Dozens of people have been killed and hundreds arrested since 2021. The final results will be delivered by the Constitutional Council. The election took place on Sunday March 24, but the official results were only announced this Wednesday March 27 by the National Votes Census Commission.
