Cheikh Anta Diop University (Ucad) in Dakar will reopen its doors on Monday February 26. It had been closed since last June, following the tensions which accompanied the conviction of the opponent Ousmane Sonko.

The Ucad academic council met on Friday February 23, 2024. It decided to resume face-to-face courses, but not all students will be able to be present from this Monday since the university residences remain closed. Medical students who cannot return will have distance learning courses, specifies the dean.
