Sudanese academics and researchers concluded on Thursday that Sudan's crisis is deeper than the ongoing armed conflict between the army and the Rapid Support Forces. Participants in a seminar held by the Al Jazeera Center for Studies called for rejecting the language of verbal violence and exclusion.

The solution to the crisis in Sudan cannot be military, but it depends on building a national consensus to solve problems and accommodate everyone, they said. They said there is no future for rapid support in Sudan, because it does not have a popular or tribal incubator.
