Security personnel were killed in Iran in an armed attack targeting military sites. Media reports attributed the two attacks to militants from the "Army of Justice" group.

Reports indicated that at least 8 militants were killed during an exchange of fire with Iranian security forces. Jaish al-Adl group, which was formed in 2012 and is classified by Iran as a terrorist group, claimed responsibility. Last January, Iran targeted two of the group's bases in Pakistan with missiles, which were met with a quick military response from Islamabad.
