Russian volunteer group claims to “take control of municipal government buildings through cross-border attacks”. While voting for the presidential election is being held in Russia, an organization of Russian volunteer soldiers standing on the Ukrainian side went to western Russia bordering Ukraine on the 17th.
The operation is said to have been carried out jointly with other Russian volunteer organizations. Meanwhile, on the same day, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that it had shot down a Mil-8 helicopter of the Ukrainian Air Force as it headed towards Belgorod Oblast.
