In 2022, the units of the Russian Air Defense Forces received the first radar systems to combat mini-drones. In 2023 several more such samples are expected to be delivered to the air defense and missile defense troops.
The Russian air defense forces have begun to work out issues on the protection of the north-western border against the background of the expansion of NATO due to the accession of Finland to the alliance. In addition, near the zone of special operation, the number of units with air defense systems was doubled.
