Russian Railways: Lithuania’s decision to ban passengers from disembarking will not affect trains to Kaliningrad. The Lithuanian government has decided from March 1 to prohibit Russians traveling to theKaliningrad region from getting off at Kyana and Kibartai stations.

As the Yantarny Krai publication writes, for some Russian citizens the Kyana station was the final destination, although the train stop there was purely technical for the purpose of border control. The decision to close the Lavorishkes and Raigardas border checkpoints on the border with Belarus will not in any way affect the existing order of transit of trains of the Russian formation, says Russian Railways.
