Russian presidential election: Anti-war candidate may not be accepted as candidacy. Boris Nadezhdin, a former member of the State Duma who criticizes President Putin, has submitted the signatures of more than 100,000 voters to the Central Election Commission on January 31st.

If 5% or more of the signatures are incomplete, the candidature will not be Accepted. Mr. Nadejdin himself has indicated that he will take the case to court if his candidacy is not approved.
