Russian newspaper: India seeks to thwart China's initiative in the Middle East. The agreement was reached during Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent visit to the UAE.
According to the Russian newspaper, India and the UAE signed a bilateral investment agreement, and agreed to cooperate in the field of electricity transmission and digital infrastructure. The writer reported that the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs did not mention any country concerned with the corridor in the region other than India itself and UAE. The reason for this is related to the ongoing 4-month war on Gaza, which led to the obstruction of the United States’ plans to deepen Israel’s partnership with its neighbors.
