Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov expressed the opinion that the longer the fighting continues in the Gaza Strip, the less chance there is to save the hostages. He expressed regret that the Israeli army continues to fight and noted that this is “obviously” happening with the support of the United States.
Earlier, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said that the US veto on the Gaza resolution indicated their true attitude towards people. Also, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that no pressure could stop the country from its determination to win a complete victory over the Palestinian Hamas movement.
