Russian Ambassador: Transfer of Russian assets to Ukraine will harm the reputation of Switzerland. Swiss senators previously voted for the country's government to use about $8.5 billion in frozen funds from the Russian Central Bank to rebuild Ukraine.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stressed that Russia intends to act individually in each specific case of confiscation of its frozen assets by Western countries. The decision on confiscation, if implemented, will damage both the legal integrity of the global financial system and the reputationof Switzerland, he said.
