Video apparently shot by the attackers of the concert hall was broadcast on social media accounts usually used by ISIS. ISIS has already carried out attacks in the country since the end of the 2010s, but the group has never claimed responsibility for an attack of such magnitude. The attack is the deadliest in Russia in twenty years, and the bloodiest to have been claimed by ISIS in Europe.
