Hundreds of people gathered in Moscow to pay their respects to the fallen soldier. The soldier was killed in the shelling of the town of Slaviansk in eastern Ukraine.
The body of the soldier was taken to a local hospital where it was pronounced dead at 11:30 a.m. local time (2:30pm GMT) The soldier's family and friends gathered at the hospital to pay tribute to him. The funeral will be held at the same place where the soldier's body will be buried.
